Integrated circuits continue to drive innovations of our time. Aimed at B.Sc. graduates in physics or electrical engineering, this degree programme teaches key skills in an environment that comprises both university departments and research institutes.

The two-year Master’s programme (M.Sc.) Micro- and Nanoelectronics is aimed at future engineers who wish to pursue a career in the semiconductor industry. Students are taught by experts both from the university and from research institutes. In a rapidly advancing field, this enables students not only to connect with current research but also to experience aspects of industrial device fabrication and systems design right from the start.

Basic criteria for admission are a B.Sc. degree either in Physics or in Electrical Engineering, with a curriculum that is comparable to the corresponding degree programmes at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg (please visit https://www.b-tu.de/en/micro-nano-electronics-ms/ for more detailed information). German language skills are not required for admission to this study programme. Applicants need to provided a certificate of English proficiency as described in the language requirements.
